Chef Lindsey is a passionate and seasoned culinary professional with 40 years of experience across hospitality and aged care. Currently serving as a Senior Catering Operations Specialist at RiseUp Group, Lindsey oversees hospitality and catering development with RiseUp’s aged care partners. With a career defined by excellence, innovation and a deep commitment to dignified dining for vulnerable communities, Lindsey is now stepping into a national leadership and industry thought leader role :Shaping best practice in aged care catering at a group and national level.
Throughout his career as Hospitality Leader and Executive Chef, Lindsey held senior roles in aged care with Springwood and Hawkesbury Villages, working with Sodexo and Compass. In these roles he oversaw culinary operations for large residential nursing homes, managing sizeable teams and maintaining exceptional standards of quality and resident experience.
Lindsey has also served as a Senior Chef Instructor at the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, combining his culinary expertise with a passion for mentoring, delivering hands-on instruction and theoretical learning to the next generation of hospitality professionals.
Lindsey’s extensive and diverse background spans vocational training, sales, catering and laundry management is a testament to his adaptability and leadership range. He specialises in recipe and menu design, team management, chef mentoring, food safety compliance, IDDSI standards, texture modification and creating positive dining experiences for residents and their families.
Recognised as a national industry voice in aged care catering and texture modified food, Lindsey is a sought-after speaker, panellist and judge at Australia’s leading hospitality and aged care events. He is committed to elevating industry standards, advocating for IDDSI best practice, and mentoring the next generation of aged care chefs across the country.
