After training in the international hotel sector in Australia, i embarked on a career that has taken me around the globe working in the UK, India & South East Asia. I settled in the Barossa Valley over 3 decades ago opening the Pear Tree Cottage Restaurant embracing my passion for regional food & wine.

As a passionate advocate of culinary traditions and techniques, i have long championed fresh, seasonal, local food and was a founding member of the Barossa Farmers Market and Food Barossa, before going on to open hatted restaurants Appellation and St Hugo to national acclaim.

With further experience as a culinary lecturer, i have delivered and developed learning materials for Tafe SA and Le Cordon Bleu as well as working in the leisure sector leading cooking classes for the general public.

Throughout my career i have remained focused on developing skills, building teams, and mentoring for excellence and have sat on numerous industry, training and community bodies to further these goals and in 2017 I was recognised as SA Chef of the Year.
