AITC advance warning of the 2022 Best of the Best Competition.

The Australian Institute of Technical Chefs ( will again conduct the extremely successful and popular annual national competition for trainee chefs during September 2022. The “BEST OF THE BEST” competition mission is to identify trainees and students who consistently show excellence with the potential to be future leaders in the hospitality Industry. All Applicants are shortlisted by the Institute and interviewed by a panel of renowned chefs and aimed to identify the top national student in their certificate category. The national winners are recognised by the institute as the “Best of the Best” in their Certificate category (Cookery) and publically identified and promoted alongside with their mentor/teacher and college.

A new challenge category in 2022 will include a call for applications from experienced professional chefs who may apply to be funded for an industry related project up to $12,000. Chefs – (AITC Members – Culinary Teachers –Professional Chefs Please share)
