(In continuous development):
The TChef Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is a requirement for all AITC credentialled Professional Chefs seeking re-registration.
This online platform is where you record your CPD activities.
What are the benefits of CPD?
Completing your TChef CPD will enable you to register as you are seen as ‘competent’ by the Australian Institute of TechnicalChefs.
How many CPD hours is required:?
Any activity culinary or occupation related activity that has update or improved your skills and experience as a professional chef or in a role that emanated from a professional chef will count towards your CPD.
You’re the best person to know whether or not your experience was culinary or occupation related -based, because it was your experience in your job. For this reason, we allow many other types of activities to count towards your CPD time requirement.
For examples only:
Culinary Committees (Association – Mentoring – Advisory) – Culinary Competitions – Culinary Excursions – Culinary Exhibition – Culinary Judge – Networking – Self-Study Study Courses (Advanced Formal studies) – Study Courses (Short/ workshops/ Master Classes)
Failure to supply accurate and honest details about your CPD activities, the hours you spent at those activities, would put your re-registration in jeopardy.
TChef CPD operates on an honour system, however AITC reserves the right to audit a record.
