2016 Handbook

Entering culinary competitions, receiving culinary awards or medals, obtaining great restaurant reviews or having a job title as a chef, or executive chef, does not necessarily demonstrate one is a professionally trained and experienced commercial chef who practices at the top level in the industry.

Chefs who are licensed with the Australian Institute of TechnicalChefs (AITC) are able to show they are a  superior class of chef.

An AITC  license demonstrates an assessment of superior skills, attitude knowledge and experience combined with a professional character.

The prestigious title is not gained from one occasion, but is confirmed with documentation, and can only be acquired  over time; therefore reliable.
